Explain which virtual card profile fields users can edit and which issuer-generated fields stay fixed.

Card operations · Card card users and support teams · 8 min

Quick summary

Cardholder profile editing should be clear, audited and separated from fixed card credentials.

RamboCard explains wallet funding, card issuing, card top-ups, service fees, notifications and reconciliation in one product workflow.

Editable profile fields

A successful card can allow users to update supported profile fields such as card label, cardholder name, billing email, billing address and phone number. The platform should clearly show which fields are editable and which require issuer sync.

Fixed issuer fields

Card number, CVV, expiration date and underlying issuer identifiers are fixed after issuance. Users should never be offered an edit flow for issuer-generated credentials.

Default information

If RamboCard generates default virtual profile information, the user should be able to review it immediately after issuance and change supported fields before using the card with a merchant that needs accurate billing data.

Audit and notification

Profile changes should be logged and may trigger email notification. Support should see before and after values without exposing sensitive full card data.

Why audit profile changes?
