ENGINEERING NOTE 22 / 50 · SMS
Build an SMS acceptance matrix before claiming reliability
A successful catalogue request proves availability data can be read. It does not prove purchase, receipt, cancellation or refund behavior.
Published by OPEN RAMBO. The engineering patterns and pseudocode illustrate designs, not a documented product API. Numerical examples are illustrative.
Separate stages
Create independent cases for quotation, allocation, actual message receipt, cancellation eligibility and completed refund. Use authorized accounts and a bounded budget for paid checks. Keep simulated responses labelled as simulations.
Include interruption cases
Test a browser refresh after purchase, a lost purchase response and repeated cancellation. These cases often reveal more than a clean happy path. Use isolated fixtures for destructive or concurrent scenarios rather than disturbing customer orders.
Write a bounded conclusion
One real receipt validates one service-country-order path at that time. It does not establish a platform-wide rate. Preserve timestamps, safe references and financial totals, excluding codes and complete numbers from shared reports.

Each case needs expected result, observed evidence and a clear passed, failed or untested status. Untested is not passed.
